A young woman in England is helping chickens to keep warm by knitting them sweaters.
Apparently, battery hens are chickens who have been kept in cages most (if not all) of their life to maximize egg laying. The living conditions have caused these hens to have a lot fewer feathers.

Nicola Congon has around 30 chickens who were former battery hens (good for her for giving them a good home and a range to run free on), and as the weather is getting colder, the chickens have a hard time acclimating to the cooler temps.
So, Nicole and her mother are knitting little tank top sweaters for their feathered flock.
Very adorable!
